Znomics, Inc. Announces Successful Closing of $4.88 Million Private Offering
Simultaneously with the close, on November 5, 2007, of the private offering, the company effected a merger with Pacific Syndicated Resources, Inc. and renamed the combined company as Znomics, Inc. under the leadership of the former Znomics’ directors and officers. The company’s common stock is currently trading under the PSRI ticker on the over-the-counter market, however, the company has applied to NASDAQ for a new ticker reflective of the Znomics name for which it expects to receive approval in the near future. Kerry Rea Joins Znomics as Chief Financial Officer
Znomics, Inc. has named Kerry D. Rea as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Znomics in November 2007, Mr. Rea was a consultant with over 20 years experience in finance, primarily in publicly-owned companies. From 2004 to 2006 he served as Vice-President and Controller of AccessLine Communications, serving in various consulting roles from 2003 to 2006. From 1997 to 2002 he was Vice President of Finance and Vice President and Controller for Electric Lightwave. Mr. Rea has been a CPA with two public accounting firms, holding a Bachelor of Science of Business Administration from Oregon State University and a Masters of Taxation from Portland State University. ZeneMark® Library Milestone: Mutations in 11,000 Ensembl Annotated Genes
Dr. Jianxin Wang, Znomics Director of Bioinformatics, announced that the ZeneMark® Library reached an important milestone, achieving mutations in 11,000 Ensembl annotated genes. To date, Znomics has mapped more than 200,000 retroviral insertions on the zebrafish genome. Dr. Wang indicated that a new approach to cloning and sequencing the tag sequences flanking the viral insertion sites will soon be implemented by the Company. With this new effort he expects that in the coming year the ZeneMark® Library will continue to add thousands of new mutations in Ensembl genes. [Read the complete press release...]

Dr. David G. Ransom Joins Znomics as Director of Genetics and Functional Genomics
David G. Ransom, Ph.D., joined Znomics in early July as the new Director of Genetics and Functional Genomics. He will provide leadership for management and further development of the ZeneMark® Library, working closely with Dr. Jianxin Wang and Dr. Steve Kurtz. Dr. Greg Golling, who first developed the ZeneMark® Library, has accepted a position at Taft College in California, but will continue to work part-time at Znomics, consulting on all aspects of the Library. Dr. Ransom looks forward to initiating collaborations with academic researchers on development and in-licensing of zebrafish models of human disease for drug development. Merck and Znomics Enter into an Agreement for Drug Target Discovery on Metabolic Diseases
Portland, OR - Merck & Co., Inc. and Znomics, Inc. have entered into a collaborative agreement on November 17, 2005 to discover and characterize novel drug targets for metabolic diseases utilizing Znomics’ zebrafish technology.
